We are a family owned winery in Renmark South Australia. In July this year we opened our new restaurant Eleni's @ Mallee Estate celebrating our Greek Heritage.
We Pride ourselves on the relaxed family culture within the business and sharing our fresh authentic food with our wines & customers.
We are now looking for a Sous Chef to join our team. The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Head Chef with menu creation and to manage a team of kitchen staff.
Reporting directly to the Head Chef some of your responsibilities include:
- Managing the kitchen when the Head Chef is not there.
- Training and mentoring staff when needed
- Maintaining standards of presentation
- Ensuring readiness for service and that the pace is set for peak trade
To be successful in this role you will have a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery. Additionally, you do not have to be Greek heritage to apply for this position but a love for Greek food is a must.
Salary negotiable on experience
5 day working week
Suitable for a serious experienced Cook or Chef
This position would suit someone who is creative,clean and can work to deadlines
