 Job Description

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Winemaking – Tasmania, we are seeking a talented and quality-focused Winemaker to join our Tasmanian winemaking team.

Working closely with our winemaking team, you will contribute across all aspects of the winemaking process, from harvest through to bottling, ensuring our wines consistently meet the highest quality standards while supporting innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with premium Tasmanian wine brands in a collaborative environment where craftsmanship, technical excellence and innovation are highly valued.

Working as part of our Tasmanian Winemaking team, you will:

  • Contribute to the development of long-term winemaking strategies and initiatives across our Tasmanian operations.
  • Work closely with the Head of Winemaking across all stages of the winemaking process, including harvest, fermentation, blending, stabilisation and bottling.
  • Undertake trial work to support new product development, wine style refinement and continuous quality improvement.
  • Monitor wine chemistry and conditions, implementing corrective actions to maintain quality and minimise risk.
  • Support sustainable winemaking practices and contribute to the winery’s environmental initiatives.
  • Assist in maintaining a strong safety culture through proactive participation in safety initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Winemaking, Cellar, Viticulture and Brand teams to deliver exceptional wine outcomes.

About You

You are a passionate and technically capable winemaker who takes pride in producing exceptional wines and enjoys working collaboratively within a high-performing team.

You are proactive, quality-focused and motivated by continuous improvement, bringing strong technical capability and a commitment to excellence throughout every stage of the winemaking process.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Diploma or Degree in Oenology or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of three years’ winemaking experience, with demonstrated experience across the winemaking process.
  • Strong technical knowledge across all aspects of the winemaking process.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of wine quality.
  • Developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and interpersonal communication.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Experience using winery computer systems and technology applications.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a practical, hands-on approach.
  • A current driver’s licence.
