Vineyard/Winemaking Assistant

It would be an advantage to have:

• vineyard experience;
• cellar experience (preferable);
• ability to operate a range of viticultural machinery;
• common sense and excellent problem solving skills;
• excellent planning and time management skills;
• mechanical knowledge;
• flexibility of work hours particularly during vintage;
• a current driver’s license and own transport;
• high standards of work practices and treatment of others;
• an appropriate level of fitness and aptitude to work in a changing outdoor environment.

The role will involve:

• all aspects of cellar operations;
• vineyard work and supervision;
• moving sheep and other husbandry activities;
• pest, under vine and weed management;
• trellis repairs and maintenance;
• irrigation repairs and maintenance;
• property repairs and maintenance.

Wages will be determined based on experience and performance reviews.
