About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Vineyard Manager (Operations) to plan, coordinate and oversee vineyard operations across our contracted agricultural work programs in South Australia.
The position is responsible for coordinating vineyard activities, supervising operational personnel, allocating resources, monitoring work progress and quality, and supporting the safe and efficient delivery of vineyard operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and oversee vineyard operations and seasonal work programs.
- Coordinate pruning, canopy management, crop management, vineyard maintenance and harvesting activities.
- Supervise vineyard supervisors and operational employees and allocate work and resources.
- Monitor work progress, productivity, quality and operational requirements.
- Coordinate equipment, machinery and other resources required for vineyard operations.
- Monitor vineyard conditions and assist with operational planning and production requirements.
- Support workplace health and safety requirements and safe work practices.
- Maintain operational records and report on work progress and outcomes.
- Liaise with management, clients and other operational personnel regarding work programs and service delivery.
Requirements
Skills and Experience
- Relevant qualifications and/or substantial practical experience in vineyard, viticulture, horticultural or agricultural operations.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating or managing vineyard operations and agricultural work programs.
- Experience supervising operational employees and coordinating resources.
- Sound knowledge of vineyard production cycles, seasonal operations and work practices.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a management and operational team.
- A current valid Australian driver's licence is required due to regular travel between operational sites.
Compensation
Employment
Permanent, full-time position based in South Australia, with regular travel between operational sites.
Salary
$85,000 to $95,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on qualifications and experience.
