The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead front-of-house operations and work closely with the owner-chef. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who loves service, people, and building a strong team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day FOH operations and service
• Manage and motivate a small, quality-focused team
• Rostering, payroll coordination, and staff training
• Maintain service standards and guest experience
• Oversee reservations (NowBookIt), floor flow, and capacity
• Work closely with the kitchen to deliver seamless service
• Manage compliance (RSA, WHS, licensing)
• Assist with stock control, ordering, and cost awareness
• Be a welcoming face of River for locals and visitors alike
