Position Summary
We are looking for an energetic, skilled, and guest-focused Bartender to join our front-of-house team. This role is responsible for preparing and serving beverages efficiently while creating a friendly and engaging bar experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
Beverage Preparation
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to a high standard
- Mix classic cocktails and house beverages consistently
- Maintain knowledge of the drinks menu, including wines, spirits, and signature selections
Guest Service
- Provide friendly, professional service to bar and restaurant guests
- Engage with customers and create a welcoming atmosphere
- Make recommendations based on guest preferences
Bar Operations
- Set up and pack down the bar area before and after service
- Ensure the bar is clean, organised, and fully stocked at all times
- Monitor stock levels and inform management when supplies are low
Compliance & Safety
- Follow RSA guidelines and responsible service of alcohol standards
- Check identification and refuse service when required by law
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards behind the bar
Team Support
- Work closely with floor staff and kitchen team to ensure smooth service
- Assist with glassware, restocking, and general front-of-house support during busy periods
Requirements
Skills & Requirements
- Previous bartending experience preferred
- Valid RSA certificate (required)
- Strong knowledge of basic cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
