Production Supervisor

Established in 1974 and nestled in the heart of Tasmanian wine country, Pipers Brook Vineyard in the beautiful Tamar Valley is recognised as one of the pioneering vineyards of the Tasmanian wine industry. We are a family owned, award winning company known for producing exceptional cool climate wines under labels that include Ninth Island, Pipers Tasmania, Pipers Brook and Kreglinger Sparkling.

We are seeking a highly motivated Production Supervisor to join our dedicated team.

Responsibilities will include:

• Coordination of the smooth and efficient production of the bottling line, according to the manufacturing schedule
• Supervision of a small production team, ensuring KPI targets are being met whilst ensuring product quality is not compromised
• Development and implementation of robust preventative maintenance schedules
• Assessment and prioritisation of breakdown service requirements
• Regular reporting and recording of data for Quality Assurance purposes
• Ensuring strict adherence to the company’s safety and quality protocols
• Assist in daily production operations as needed
• Set up machinery and oversee smooth startups and production transitions

The successful candidate must have skills and experience in the following:

• A maintenance role, ideally with food production equipment
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience in Quality Assurance and implementation of preventative maintenance programs
• Understanding of production KPI’s
• Be a proven team member who can maintain effective working relationships with colleagues
• Have the ability to cope and work with disruption and adapt to changing priorities
• Have high level problem solving and attention to detail skills
• Sound knowledge of general business operations, policies, procedures and processes
• Forklift licence and experience essential
