Job Overview
Crafty Monk Brewing is seeking a Supervisor for an immediate start. Our microbrewery boasts a full kitchen and bar, offering lunch and dinner service Wednesday to Sunday. With total seating for over 200 people, we have 2 outdoor areas as well as indoor seating, with versatile function spaces and an outdoor woodfired pizza kitchen too!
The Supervisor position is a hands on, leadership role which will assist in the effective running of the venue. The role will enable you to improve guest satisfaction by maintaining efficiency of service, general product and technical knowledge, and exceptional standard of delivery and professionalism. You will oversee and assist FOH staff to deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring the venue is prepared and organised to meet business requirements.

A few of your responsibilities:
➡ Supervise team members and assist the leadership team with any training and development needed for team members
➡ Monitor the quality of food and beverage service to ensure high standards are always maintained
➡ Ensure a high level of guest experience is always provided in the venues and is professional, hospitable, timely, effective, and efficient
➡ Efficiently manage the bar during busy periods, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for customers
➡ Participate in opening & closing procedures, including setup & breakdown of bar area
➡ Make recommendations to Management that will assist in maximising revenue and minimising costs to meet company budgets
Requirements
What we are looking for:
✅ Team player with a great attitude, strong work ethic & extremely reliable
✅ Demonstrated supervisory experience in a similar role, supervising teams with confidence and effectiveness
✅ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment while juggling multiple tasks seamlessly
✅ Strong beer & wine knowledge will be highly regarded
✅ Basic knowledge of keg handling and cleaning procedures is advantageous
✅ Cocktail experience will be highly regarded
✅ Barista skills? Bonus points
✅ Have availability 9:30am to 10:30pm Wednesday to Sunday as well as adaptability to various scheduling needs
✅ Expertise in building rapport with a diverse range of guests, ensuring exceptional experiences for everyone
✅ A creative ideas person that will help business growth by recommending ideas for events, special offers and experiences

About you:
You will have a proven track record of working in a fast-paced environment, showcasing your ability to lead, mentor and encourage your team. Your thorough understanding of RSA compliance coupled with your RSA Certificate, will see you create a safe environment for guests and team members alike. Holding an RMLV will be advantageous.
You’ll bring a track record of leadership, preferably in high volume bars, restaurants, or hotels, showcasing your ability to lead and inspire teams. Communication is your forte, effortlessly connecting with a diverse range of guests where every interaction creates a memorable experience.
