About you
If you are an experienced Food and Beverage Attendant who has a genuine passion for providing exemplary customer service and would like to join us on this exciting journey we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Acknowledging all guests immediately as they approach
- Greet and seat guests and present menus in a professional friendly manner.
- Knowledge of wine lists, beverage selections, menu's and daily specials
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of waiters stations, restaurant/bar area at all times.
- Set up buffets in accordance with product specifications and ensure all menus are clean & presentable at all times.
- Set tables for a variety of meal periods in line with hotel standards and product specifications
- Take food orders and enter them correctly into the Point Of Sale System
- Answer the phone quickly and courteously, answer queries and take restaurant reservations
- Serve food orders with prompt, friendly and efficient service.
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience within a busy fine dining or a la carte environment is desirable
- Wine and spirit knowledge (advantageous though not essential)
- Essential that you are a great team player who thrives in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work independently and self-motivate
- A current RSA/ Food Handlers Certificate or willingness to obtain one
