Situated in the heart of McLaren Vale, in the stunning Fleurieu Peninsula, Serafino Wines produces a diverse range of award winning wines in a modern facility which sources fruit from over 300 acres of estate vineyards. The picturesque grounds include the Serafino restaurant, cellar door, accommodation as well as a contract bottling facility.

We are seeking an experienced and driven individual to join our winery team on a full-time basis as a cellar hand. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the operation of winery equipment, possess a keen attention to detail and also have a proven track record of contributing positively to a team environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern winery with an experienced team who are committed to making world class wines, with a focus on experimentation and a genuine desire to continually improve.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who is passionate about wine and looking to make a long term and positive contribution to the Serafino team and the wines we produce.

Job Requirements

The key attributes we are looking for in the successful person are as follows:

• Cellar hand Grade 3 (or above) with accredited training or equivalent industry experience.

• Drivers License and Forklift License (essential)

• Confined space training and first aid training (desired but not essential)

• Keen attention to detail

• High standards of hygiene and cleanliness

• Ability to prioritise the safety of yourself and others by following site specific operational procedures

• A detailed understanding of the winemaking process for both white and red wine production

• Ability to work autonomously and contribute positively within a team environment

• Positive attitude

• Desire to learn new skills

• High level communication skills - both written and verbal

• Experience supervising and/or training casual staff will be highly regarded

• Flexibility to work extra shifts and/or extended hours during vintage
