Job Overview

The DOWIE DOOLE Tasting Pod opened in November 2019. The cellar door is four shipping containers surrounded by 360 degree views of vineyards in Tatachilla, McLaren Vale. Do you have a passion for wine, customer service, and the beautiful McLaren Vale region? Then keep reading.

The Role

We're seeking an enthusiastic cellar door manager to join our team at the DOWIE DOOLE Tasting Pod. We are looking for someone who has great initiative and a passion for strategising new events and ideas.

This position is full-time with a roster from Thursday-Monday. A successful applicant must be available weekends and public holidays. Opportunities for part-time may be available.

The cellar door is currently closed for a winter break and reopening in December.

Duties:

  • Manage a small cellar door team
  • Deliver a personable experience
  • Wine tastings
  • Manage and grow the wine club
  • Open/close cellar door
  • Plan events
  • Rostering
  • Ordering
  • Pack orders
  • General admin

Requirements

The successful applicant will have:

  • A strong passion for wine
  • Wine knowledge
  • Experience in sales/hospitality
  • WSET Level 2
  • Strong computer skills; MS Office, POS, CRM, Shopify
  • Responsible Persons Badge
  • A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
