Cellar Door- Assistant Manager

Pindarie is a multiple Tourism award winning cellar door located on the Western Ridge in the iconic Barossa Valley.  We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join a great team of people in a growing and changing business with new exciting developments coming on. The person we seek will be strong in wine, food and tourism. Will have a good knowledge of State tourism, hospitality, digital operating systems and a high-level of customer service.  Experience in leadership and able to supervise a team of people is important.

Tertiary education in some form of wine, food and hospitality will be advantageous and the applicant needs to demonstrate the following:

• The ability to evaluate and describe wine styles, varieties and characteristics
• Ideally have experience in wine sales.
• Experience in supervising a team.
• Experience in hospitality and an interest in regional food (even better if you have had previous experience as a chef and would like to step out of the kitchen!)
• Motivation, innovation, efficiency, and the skills to deliver high level customer service.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of POS, Online booking systems and Office 365.
• Hold a Current RSA.

Reporting to the Cellar Door Manager- wine Food and Tourism, Key Duties involve:

• Full-time position (flexible) with a minimum of 2 weekends in a rostered month.
• Supervision of daily staff and assisting CD Manager in developing new events and experiences.
• Continually improve and work upon the wine tasting experience for the customer.
• Develop ideas and work with cooks for seasonal menu items as we grow the food sector.
• Maintain and manage ordering of all food supplies.
• Assistance with functions, events and interstate trade shows.
