Cellar Door & Food Service Manager – Hunter Valley
Join a leading wine destination, right in the heart of Hunter Valley Wine Country, known for delivering memorable hospitality and warm, welcoming experiences.
We are seeking an experienced Cellar Door & Food Service Manager to oversee the daily operations of a venue that brings together wine, food, and events in a relaxed yet professional setting.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you’ll be responsible for creating an inviting atmosphere, leading a small team, and ensuring every guest leaves with a memorable experience — and a reason to return.
Requirements
The Role:
As Cellar Door & Food Service Manager, you will:
- Lead and manage daily operations of the Cellar Door and Restaurant
- Deliver premium tastings, private events, and group bookings
- Recruit, train, roster and oversee front-of-house and kitchen staff
- Provide hands-on service, hosting and customer care
- Handle enquiries, bookings and reservation systems
- Ensure the venue presentation is always inviting and well-maintained
- Drive wine sales and grow Wine Club memberships
- Manage stock ordering, POS and cellar door reporting, including supplier relationships
- Work closely with the management team on events, marketing, and growth strategy
About You:
You’ll bring:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in cellar door and food service management
- Event management experience (wine or hospitality industry highly regarded)
- A warm, professional and customer-first mindset with proven sales ability
- Strong leadership and rostering skills
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with calm and confidence
- Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and occasional evenings
- RSA certification
- A passion for wine, food and regional hospitality
