What We’re Looking For
An experienced Assistant Head Sommelier with strong English skills to work closely with our Head Sommelier and to lead a team of Sommeliers to enhance our guest’s dining experiences through beverage service.
The majority of the role involves engaging with our guests, offering a high-quality wine experience. Collaborate with our kitchen and service teams to enhance guest's experience. Assist in staff trainings and mentoring for beverage service excellence.
The role also involves assisting with administrative duties, such as cellar management, wine list curation, POS management, monthly beverage stocktake inventory and representing our Head Sommelier during his absence.
Requirements
What we are looking for:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Sommelier in a premium dining environment.
- Knowledge: Extensive understanding of international wines, spirits, and beers.
- Certification: WSET Level 3 or CMS certification preferred.
- Guest Engagement: Confident, professional communicator with strong English skills and a natural ability to engage guests and deliver personalised wine recommendations.
- Passion: Genuine enthusiasm for food, wine, and service, with a desire to elevate the guest experience.
- Dedication: Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development in wine expertise and management.
- Strong team player: Works effectively with restaurant staff to deliver seamless and high-quality wine service, contributing to a cohesive and outstanding dining experience.
