About Tokar Estate:
Nestled in the picturesque Yarra Valley, Tokar Estate was established in 1995 by Leon and Rita Tokar planting 30 acres of vines across the estate in Coldstream. The vineyard is planted to Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon. The Tokar family were visionaries as the first in the Yarra Valley to plant Tempranillo with current plans to add more alternative varietals to the vineyard in 2024. Mencia, Alvarinho and Aligote vines will be planted next year. The Tokar winery, renowned for its exceptional range of wines, is a testament to our commitment to quality and passion for winemaking. Tokar Estate offers a unique blend of traditional techniques and modern practices, with the use of both amphora and oak in our winemaking ensuring each bottle captures the essence of our remarkable terroir and offers intrigue and interest for both the maker and the consumer of our wines.

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Winemaker to join our dynamic team at Tokar Estate. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with a minimum of three years of experience in managing winery operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing the winemaking process from grape selection to bottling, ensuring the highest quality of wine production.

Managing day-to-day operations of the winery, including coordination with different departments to ensure smooth functioning.

Assisting our Vineyard Manager at various times throughout the year, lending support in the vineyard with pruning, shoot thinning, sprays and other vineyard maintenance required

Acting as a brand ambassador for Tokar Estate, engaging in brand advocacy and representing our wines at trade and consumer events.

Collaborating with the marketing and sales teams to promote our wines and enhance our brand presence in the market.

Implementing innovative winemaking techniques while respecting the traditional practices that define Tokar Estate.
Qualifications and Skills:

A minimum of three years of experience in winemaking and winery management.

Degree in Oenology, Viticulture, or a related field is preferred.

Strong knowledge of winemaking processes and vineyard management.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Ability to represent the brand at various events with professionalism and enthusiasm.
