Deputy General Counsel (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

We have a unique opportunity for a high calibre, corporate lawyer to join our team as Deputy General Counsel. Working within the Global Legal & Governance team and reporting to the Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel, you will have a key role in developing and executing legal strategies and providing legal expertise as part of the commercial decision making across the organisation.

With an emphasis on the ANZ and Asian regions, you will work with and provide legal services to diverse functions such as sales, marketing, supply, finance and human resources.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Collaborate with managers on legal matters associated with our commercial operations
• Active litigation and dispute management
• Develop and implement organisational and regional legal strategies
• Coaching and developing a team of legal professionals and support staff to deliver against organisational goals
• Co-ordinate and manage the use of local and international external legal advisers in relation to specific requirements

You'll demonstrate a wealth of corporate law experience, gained in either a top tier law firm and/or large corporate environment.  Ideally you would have worked in a global/international capacity with the ability to work collaboratively, influencing a broad range of stakeholders.  This fast paced role will require you to manage competing priorities, providing both strategic and hands-on legal support to our growing business.  Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor and develop a team are mandatory.
