We have a fantastic range of great Australian wines and no-one does imported wines better than us. Our brands here in Australia are Laithwaite's Wine People, the Australian WINE and Virgin Wines. We pride ourselves on delivering the very best in customer service and globally we have been recognised as amongst the best there is when it comes to customer care.

Our outbound Personal Wine Advisers are a key part of the highly personalised service that we offer to our customers. In this role you would be calling our current customers (we don't do cold calling) and helping them to choose the perfect wines to suit their tastes, needs and price points. Over time you will grow your own portfolio of customers and you, exclusively, will manage their account. You'll build a personal relationship with your customers and accompany them on their journey through our wine range.

This is a full time permanent position (following a short probation period). The nature of this role and the relationships that we want you to build with our customers means that we need you to be fully committed to the role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing a consistently high level of service and care on all calls with our customers
  • Achieving all targets set, including contact rate (contacts per hour) and revenue generation (revenue per paid hour).
  • Ensuring that our customers receive a highly personalised service by making them appropriate offers based on their wine preferences and order history
  • Developing customer tastes by leading them on a journey through the world of wine and our own range

Essential Skills:

  • Passionate, enthusiastic and keen to learn more about wine
  • Highly organised and self motivated
  • Able to meet targets and work well within a sales team
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport
  • Previous sales experience in a call centre environment or in the wine industry

Desirable Skills:

  • WSET qualification

  • Approachable, helpful and cheerful disposition
  • Self motivated and driven by success
