About the role:
Three days per week, including both days of the weekend.
Location: Tapanappa Cellar Door, Adelaide Hills
About you:
You have a passion for wine and a drive for engaging guests with your knowledge & customer service and would also like to develop your wine skills even further by working for a leading brand in the premium wine sector, this is the opportunity for you!
Reporting to the Cellar Door Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Greeting all guests promptly and providing an engaging, informed and courteous Hosted Tasting Experience that elaborates our brands stories and the Croser family’s history in the wine industry, our vineyards and our wines, creating a memorable visitor experience
- Actively promoting the sale of our wines with the aim of increasing customer expenditure
- Actively promoting Wine Club membership to increase sales and build customer loyalty
- Performing all daily Cellar Door functions, including processing transactions, stocking wine, packing orders and general housekeeping duties, as well as basic food preparation as required
- Assistance with additional Cellar Door events
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the cellar door, food preparation area, and bathroom areas, following all appropriate food handling and OH&S procedures
To be successful in your application, you must have:
- Exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail
- Excellent personal presentation
- Good wine knowledge and a passion to learn
- Be comfortable speaking in front of both small and large groups
- Prior Winery and /or Hospitality or Retail experience is highly valued
- Current RSA & ideally RP badge
- WSET or equivalent highly desirable
