Located just 30 minutes away from Perth CBD area, Jarrah Ridge is set on a picturesque 5 acres amongst some of the oldest vines in Western Australia, a contemporary cellar door facility in the heart of Swan Valley. This role will suit the individual who has a genuine interest in wine, wine regions, winemaking processes and is keen to further expand their knowledge base.
As Cellar Door Sales Assistant, you will strive to support your co-workers and management, and offer impeccable customer service and unique wine tasting experiences.
Reporting to the Cellar Door Manager
Job Tasks & Responsibilities
- Welcome all guests to the cellar door, offering exemplary customer service at all times
- Conduct tailor made wine tastings, whilst demonstrating extensive knowledge of Jarrah Ridge Wines and the local region
- Assist with basic food preparation
- Conduct cheese and wine tastings
- Serve food, alcoholic beverages, teas and coffees
- Accurately process customer transactions on the POS
- Assist in achieving monthly sales targets for the cellar door
- Promote The Friends of Jarrah Ridge Club and actively contribute to the increased number of members
- Ensure that hygiene standards are maintained to the highest level at all times in all areas, and undertake cleaning duties
- Assist with stock control and stock replenishment
- Complete light administration work when required
- Assist with staff training
- Provide general support to management and colleagues, and participate in the continuous improvement of processes within the cellar door
Key Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a customer service or hospitality role
- Previous cellar door experience and/or sales experience desirable
- Valid current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
- Possess an understanding and passion for wine
- A high standard of personal presentation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
- Possess a professional and positive attitude
- Confident in using a POS systems
The successful candidate will be confident, enthusiastic and has a desire to provide quality customer service to the highest of standards. This position would be ideal for someone with a passion for wine, combined with a high level of personal presentation and communication skills.
