Based in the Hunter Valley, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a full time E-Retail & On Premise Sales Manager to take responsibility for creating, and implementing, the strategy and direction for AVL’s E-Commerce and Digital business to position AVL as the leading ‘direct to consumer’ wine company in Australia.
Reporting to the National Business Manager – Direct to Consumer, your key responsibilities will include:
- The management of AVL’s ‘100% Direct’ and ‘AVL Online Direct’ channels, taking responsibility and accountability for commercial and/or brand decisions, ensuring all relevant stakeholders (sales; marketing; cellar door; winemakers; finance and logistics) are engaged.
- Building customer-centric campaigns designed to deliver a seamless and exceptional customer experience through best in class EDM content and design, ensuring relevant internal approval. You will analyse EDM results through split testing, open rates et al to build an understanding on best practice in terms of content, design, USPs and offer.
- Building the e-commerce consumer database – acquire high lifetime value customers – by championing the ‘stay in touch’ mechanism across all brand touch points – cellar door, events, tastings, competitions and promotions and brand websites – and then leverage via EDM programme to convert database members to revenue.
- Driving local Hunter Valley on-premise account management across all AVL ranges.
- Pursuing new business opportunities with corporate affiliates to drive B2C acquisition and database growth for the ‘Family & Friends’ website.
- Ensuring digital strategies adhere to – and mirror – global best practice.
- Reviewing new technologies and keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital marketing.
The successful applicant will need well developed communication skills, both written and oral and excellent Microsoft Office skills. You will also have a keen knowledge of e-commerce platforms, online merchandising technology, campaign management tools and systems used to optimise online marketing activity.
You will posses a strong history of Account Management at local, State and National level and have the ability to build local, National and long-term strategic plans. You will display a thorough understanding of marketing and supply chain and specific channel experience would be a strong advantage.
