Key responsibilities of the role will include:
  • Project manage the current Brand Equity Monitoring (Tracking) activity for PRW
  • Provide assistance in managing Global Wine Segmentation and Portfolio Consumer Demand Mapping tools
  • Support and champion the use of Trends by the business for strategic planning and opportunity identification
  • Work closely with the Consumer Insights Manager to assist with the overall Strategic Planning process; driving the analysis and interpretation of the BEM, Global Wine Segmentation, Consumer Decision Journey/ shopper research and other consumer information sources (e.g. trends reports) in order to identify the key consumer issues, implications and opportunities facing PRW brands and undertaking ad hoc market data analysis where appropriate to support the strategic planning process
  • Manage and provide support with ad hoc projects as required, including qualitative research, shopper research and ethnography to provide in-depth understanding of consumers motivations, decisions about and consumption of wine
As a successful Consumer Insights Planner, you will have:
  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Commerce or Business Management
  • Minimum 4-5 years experience in quantitative consumer research methodology and analysis (incl. some qualitative experience) on agency or client side experience
  • Previous experience in running and analysing Brand Tracking and Segmentation studies
  • Ability to conduct thorough data analysis, converting findings into strategic business insights to support decision-making.
  • Proficiency in using data software e.g. SPSS, U-Tab, Q etc. 
  • Strong project management and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills along with strong interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally
  • Excellent computer software skills (MS Office
  • Business experience in alcohol industry or FMCG sector is advantageous
  • Knowledge/experience in using Market Data (ACNielsen/Aztec) desirable
  • Previous experience managing external research agencies is also desirable
