Vintage Laboratory Assistant (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

In this role

Your main duties will be:

• To carry out analysis as required 
• To bring any faults or deviation from Wine Specification to the attention of the Laboratory Manager

Key tasks will include

• Ensure the testing of all wines and that the wine is within specification
• Ensure that daily analysis is tested and prioritised correctly
• Assist with the plating of hourly wine samples
• Assist in the preparation of bottling notes
• Assist with rinse water line testing
• Assist with maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
• Assist with stock control levels of all chemicals and consumables
• Housekeeping and cleanliness of laboratory
• Assist with data entry and transcription checking of analysis
• Distribute analytical results and contract analysis results as required

To succeed, the essential knowledge & skills are

• Year 12 Chemistry is a minimum requirement

Ideally you will have this experience..

• Degree in Chemistry / Biology or a Certificate / Diploma in Chemistry / Microbiology is desirable
• Previous experience in a laboratory is highly desirable
