Tahbilk Estate is Victoria’s oldest family owned winery and vineyard is seeking a passionate individual to join the cellar door team as their estate experience assistant.
Tahbilk established in 1860 and continues to pay homage to the tradition of old-world winemaking, a celebration of terroir. Our winemaking approach influenced by our unique climate as Tahbilk is one of only eight wine regions worldwide dramatically influenced by inland water. Our wines and estate are a testament to the place of which they are grown, the people who made them and five generations of family heritage.
Role Overview:
The estate experience assistant is a dynamic role covering three customer facing areas; cellar door, estate experiences and events. The estate experience assistant, working alongside the established cellar door team, is to support in the execution of these experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing excellent and curated experiences in cellar door, passing on your own enthusiasm of wine and the legacy of Tahbilk to the guests of the estate.
- As an extension of cellar door’s level of customer experience to conduct and host estate experiences such as private tours, tastings, wine blending experiences and eco trail cruises/walks.
- Co-ordinate alongside the Cellar Door and Experience manager and Cellar Door Supervisor to execute external and internal events.
Key Qualities and Attributes:
- A safety focus revolving around people first.
- A keen interest and passion in wine and to share this with customers. WSET level 2 is highly desirable but not essential.
- To conduct all aspects of the role in a professional, accurate, friendly and timely manner.
- Provide and maintain effective communication with all departments around the estate and with suppliers and event organisers.
- Demonstrate capability to manage competing priorities when co-ordinating events
- Demonstrate your knowledge with Purchase Order Systems and computer literate.
- Thrive in working within an established team with respect and professionalism.
This position includes an annual wine allowance, discounts on wine from brands across the Tahbilk group, uniform provided, use of Tahbilk pool car, reward and recognition program and development opportunities.
This role is a permanent position and rostered to include one weekend day (Sunday- Thursday).
Short listed candidates will part take in psychometric testing.
