Vacancies exist for a number casual positions for the upcoming 2018 Vintage. We are seeking motivated team players to fill the roles of Cellar Hands at Gapsted Wines.
The positions available encompass winery operations such as wine transferring, racking, grape crushing, grape pressing, forklift work, barrel work, additions, loading and unloading wine tankers.
Positions will commence from approximately Mid-February 2018 for an estimated 9-11 week period with a few select positions extending beyond the end of vintage.
The winery is positioned in North East Victoria, approximately 10 mins drive to Myrtleford, and 30 mins to the township of Wangaratta, on the Great Alpine Road.
Job Requirements
Previous experience is essential along with the requirement to work well within a multi-cultural team environment and following safe working procedures.
Candidates with a forklift licence will be preferred, and operators must hold a current Australian Licence to Perform High Risk Work, class LF. Current holders of confined space entry and / or first aid certificate would also be an advantage.
The winery operates 24hrs for the vintage period and applicants are expected to work shifts in duration of 12 hrs per day / 6 days per week. Applicants will need to source their own transport and accommodation.
For international applicants, please note a valid working holiday visa for Australia MUST be in place BEFORE any vintage position can be offered.
A Skype interview may be part of the selection process following a review of applications received.
