For the right candidate this role has the potential to create a pathway towards becoming the Vineyard Manager in time.
For over 30 years Paringa Estate has produced award winning wines from the owned / leased Vineyards in Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula.
This is a hands-on role that will require an understanding of all vineyard activities from vineyard development / redevelopment, planting, new vine establishment through to managing mature vineyards producing premium grapes.
An important aspect of this job requires skill and experience in tractor driving with spraying, vine trimming and grass mowing.
You will lead and work with seasonal contractors in jobs such as pruning, canopy management, net application and removal and harvest.
As vineyard activities are seasonal there is a requirement that some work will be undertaken outside normal work hours, especially during spraying and harvest.
Key requirements of the role:
- A good experienced and safe tractor driver, vineyard machine operator
- An ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Experienced in carrying out the full range of vineyard activities
- A strong interest in viticulture / wine as a career path
- Hold a current Farm Chemical users Certificate
