Yering Station is the oldest winery in Victoria, established in 1838. It is also one of the most successful Victorian wine brands, regarded globally as one of Australia's top wine producers.
We are looking for enthusiastic wine professionals to join our Cellar Door at our Yarra Valley property, offering tastings and sales assistance.
The positions are customer focused, assisting visitors to the property to learn about, enjoy and feel confident purchasing Yering Station wines. Successful candidates will be pouring tastings for individuals and group of up to 25 guests, advising and educating visitors on Yering Station wines and assisting with purchases. Some group presentations will be involved from time to time.
The successful candidate must have strong communication skills and a passion for wine and hospitality. Past experience in the wine industry in a Cellar Door, wine retail outlet, restaurant/bar or winery/vineyard is essential. We provide extensive on the job training in terms of Yering Station wines, however the ability to put Yering Station wines into context regarding the world of wine is essential.
The positions are casual and based at the Yering Station Cellar Door in the Yarra Valley and will require a mixture of weekday and weekend work.
