The joint venture of Project Wine and FABAL now has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced Sales Manager to join the team and be a key influencer in the growth and development of our wine brands in several international wine markets.
This is an opportunity to work with a business that possesses valuable expertise in all facets of wine production and complemented by sustainable access to quality wine inventory from key South Australian wine regions.
The successful applicant would be part of an experienced team, that includes skills in winemaking, bottling/packaging, marketing and supply with both national and international logistics.
This is an exceptional opportunity to further develop existing markets and seek to establish new market opportunities, throughout Asia, Europe, the UK, and North America.
The General Manager – International Sales will ideally be based in the group’s Adelaide office and would report directly to the MD of Project Wine.
Experience & Skills
Prospective applicants must possess:
- Wine Industry knowledge and experience.
- Wine Export Sales experience in key markets for Australian wine.
- A willingness to travel to target markets.
- Experience working with both a commercial and premium wine portfolio.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar or related sales role.
- Proven ability in setting, delivering, and driving the sales forecast for a wine portfolio.
- Experience with retailers and wholesale distributors in the international marketplace.
- Any experience with domestic distribution may be an advantage.
- Exceptional attention to detail and solid communication skills.
- Tertiary qualification in business or related discipline may be an advantage but is not required.
- Proven track record of working to KPI’s and achieving sales targets.
- Ability to manage existing relationships and attract new customers.
- Ability to connect and engage with customers.
- Ability to work with sales and distribution platforms to implement sales objectives.
- Ability to prioritise, multitask and meet changing deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Proficient in Microsoft word and excel.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Driving wine sales for several brands owned by the group.
- Requirement for international and interstate travel.
- Develop and manage an integrated sales plan across several markets and platforms.
- Driving long term sales growth.
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Develop strategies for meeting and exceeding budgets.
- Work with MD and other Marketing Managers to align promotional activities to improve sales.
