The Islander Estate Vineyards is a premium boutique Kangaroo Island vineyard & winery founded by famous flying winemaker Jacques Lurton, of Bordeaux.
We are looking for an experienced Vineyard supervisor to help manage our 25 acre vineyard on Kangaroo Island.
The candidate will need to be able to demonstrate an ability to manage a varied workload, which will include:
- Operating & maintaining Agricultural equipment
- Managing Irrigation
- Preforming Vineyard Tasks to include:
- Pruning & cane management
- Shoot management & shoot thinning
- Wire management
- Spraying
- Cultivation & under vine management
- Leading a harvest/picking team
- Applying fertilizer
- General vine & vineyard management
- General farm maintenance tasks as required
- Some minor cellar work as required
Experience is essential.
Job Requirements:
- Viticulture course/certificate
- Ability to perform tasks within allocated budget
- Basic Computer Skills for records management
- Drivers license
- Forklift license
- Chainsaw license
