Cognoscenti Food & Wine is a vibrant restaurant located in Belgrave, nestled in the heart of the Dandenong Ranges, only 50 minutes from Melbourne CBD. We combine fresh and seasonal local products with European flair, providing an exceptional dining and drinking experience for our patrons. Since our opening in February 2022, we've experienced significant growth and are now looking for experienced and enthusiastic individuals to join us in creating memorable moments for our guests.
Openings for experienced waitstaff and bartenders are available in casual, part-time, and full-time capacities. Enjoy a flexible schedule, competitive compensation, and a vibrant yet professional workplace. Night and weekend availability is essential.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Waitstaff:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar
- Provide attentive service throughout the dining experience
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of tables and dining areas
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery
- Address customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and efficiency
Bartender:
- Craft and serve a diverse range of beverages, including signature cocktails
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Interact with customers to take drink orders and provide recommendations
- Handle cash and process payments accurately
- Monitor and manage inventory levels
- Create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests at the bar
Qualifications & Experience:
Waitstaff:
- Proven experience as a waiter/waitress in a similar environment
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage menus
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Attention to detail and a positive attitude
Bartender:
- Previous experience as a bartender in a similar setting
- Extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and wine
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
- Attention to detail and a positive attitude
