The Services we offer to our Clients

We act as an extension to the Cellar Door team and provide professional sales support for small to medium sized wineries who offer premium and super-premium wines to discerning drinkers.

We do not do "Cold Calling" - ALL of our contacts are provided by our wineries and have bought either at the Cellar Door or through On-Line web-sites.

This is a sales role - the wine industry is a "noisy" market with lots of competition.  IF you have a proven ability to help clients to "arrive at a buying decision" I want to talk to you.

Duties and Responsibilities

This is a permanent full-time position with uncapped earning potential.

Candidates with a background in face-to-face sales of top-quality products will thrive in this environment.

You will be the "owner" of a stable of premium wineries and will actively manage the contact lists that have been entrusted to your control.  You will:

  • Achieve and exceed your revenue targets and constantly work on developing your section of the business.
  • Build and maintain relationships with your assigned clients.
  • Understand their preferences and buying habits and help them to explore the broader range of products we have on offer.
  • Manage the relationships inside our CRM (Salesforce.com) and maintain your pipeline of contacts.

Skills & experience

To be successful in this role you MUST: 

  • Be a self-motivated individual who has the internal drive required to excel as a Salesperson
  • Be an engaging "on phone" personality who knows how to be persuasive, with exceptional communication skills and an extremely professional telephone manner..

In your work experience you will be able to point position where you had:

  • Experience using Salesforce.com or other similar CRM Systems to manage and control your day-to-day activity.  
  • You were required to use a structured computer application as the backbone of your job.

To be really successful in this role the following will be true

  • You must enjoy drinking wine and be prepared to learn how to talk knowledgeably about them without sounding like a wine snob!
  • Experience will have taught you that professional selling is a numbers-game where effort gets rewarded and you will know how to read and respond to your results. 

Candidates with a background in Face-to-Face, Direct to Consumer Sales will thrive in this environment.

  • Mandatory Requirements: A minimum of 2 years working in a professional sales role (wine industry experience will be highly regarded).
  • We will structure training to meet each individual's requirement .
