We are currently seeking a passionate and self-motivated Cellar Door staff member to join the Christies Beach cellar door team. Reporting to the General Manager the Successful applicants will assist with the day to day activities of the Finniss River Vineyard cellar door including set up, tastings, food handling, database, wine club, money and wine reconciliation & closing, balancing tills. This is a hands-on role that will be based primarily out on the floor with customers and staff, and will work closely with the sales and marketing team.
As the successful candidate you will be able to motivate a team of people, provide excellent communication to the team, raise the profile of the Finniss River Cellar Door and make a lasting impression on our visitors.
Key requirements and responsibilities of this role include:
- Extensive knowledge of wine and passion for the industry
- Current RSA certificate
- Actively promote and implement brand marketing initiatives for Finniss River Vineyard
- Ensure the highest service standards are set for the team by example
- Ensure compliance with all OH&S, ISO Quality and Environmental standards
- Complete staff rosters, data reporting, stock control and other administrative duties
- Current drivers license and reliable vehicle
- Police clearance
To be successful in this role, it is essential that you can hit the ground running. Having previous experience with wine sales in cellar door or restaurant environment as a sommelier or similar is essential. You must hold an RSA certificate, thrive on and enjoy contact with customers and have a love for food and wine.
This role is offered on a casual basis to begin with and may become a full time role for the right person.
