We are currently seeking an experienced business analyst join ourcommercial grape procurement team in a senior planning capacity to undertake the position of Supply Planning Manager.

Based at Rowland Flat, in the heart of the Barossa Valley of South Australia, in this full time role you will be responsible for leading and managing the medium term (tactical) and long term (strategic) fruit, juice and wine planning functions of Australia Operations. This position performs an integral supply chain function by driving continuous improvement via the provision of tactical planning, expert analysis and reporting in order to optimise business performance.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Operational Planning including:
- Key Capacity Modelling to identify & resolve medium and long term constraints
- Work with the key stakeholders to optimise production & inventory to deliver the demand plan
- Identify & resolve supply exceptions
- Review historical trends, identifying drivers and evaluating operational performance to develop planning models and improve planning accuracy
- Partner with key supply chain stakeholders to review activity planned, challenge assumptions and recommend changes to improve utilisation of resources
- Identify solutions for continuous improvement to optimise supply planning
- Provide forecast models to reliably predict financial outcomes/recommendations
- Facilitating a collaborative planning process with supply chain and direct procurement teams
The successful candidate will have will have demonstrated proficiency to complete supply and/or demand planning, as well as experience or understanding of Sales & Operations Planning processes and procedures. Very high proficiency in MS Excel, financial modelling, process and system improvement will be essential to this role. Excellent communication skills combined with the ability to present information in a concise and engaging manner will also be crucial.
Our ideal candidate has more than 5 years’ experience within the wine or liquor industry and holds tertiary qualification in Business or Finance or in a relevant Supply Chain discipline. Experience in implementing lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement programs would be highly regarded. Furthermore advanced planning systems knowledge and skills such as MRPII, JIT, APICS, and Oliver Wight is highly desirable.
