A great opportunity exists with our online wine auction business located in Adelaide's Western Suburbs. Wickman’s Fine Wine Auctions is a family owned Company specialising in the auctioning of private collections of fine and rare wines. Our client base is a mix of Australia and Asia’s top private wine collectors, leading restaurants, casinos, sommeliers, Masters of wine and commercial wine buyers who all share a passion for fine wine.
This is currently a casual position with the opportunity to step up into a more permanent role as the company expands.
Approximately 20 to 30 hours per week, flexible arrangements available with the possibility to work from home on a regular basis.
This position will mainly involve the following duties:
- General office administration and accounting duties.
- Liaising with our warehouse, suppliers and vendors.
- You will be given on the job training in basic wine tasting techniques, wine valuation and our custom wine auction software systems.
- Other ad hoc duties as required.
The successful applicant will have:
- A strong background in office administration.
- Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite of Programs).
- Sound understanding of Accounting principles.
- Good initiative and ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail (paramount).
- Ability and willingness to learn new tasks and systems.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Experience in the wine Industry will be held in high regard.
